Doug Kroft named King of Flauschink
April 23, 2018
Flauschink is a spring celebration to flush out winter and welcome spring. It was started in 1969 by George Sibley and a group of Crested Butte locals. Flauschink traditions include a historic ski slide show, an evening of Polka with the Coronation Ball, a parade, and an afternoon skiing to Flauschink Hill above Uley’s cabin on closing day. On it’s 50th Anniversary, our very own Doug Kroft was named Flauschink King. He will continue his reign over the next year with guest appearances at various events, but he will always be Flauschink Royalty.
