Born on a ranch in western South Dakota, Doug earned a B.S. degree from Dickinson State University in North Dakota & a Master's Degree from the University of Montana at Missoula. The next twelve years Doug spent teaching for a Department of Defense Dependent school system. He lived and worked in numerous countries including Korea, Germany, Belgium, England, Bahrain, and Holland. He has been a resident of Crested Butte since 1977, and founded Red Lady Realty in 1978. Doug has a strong environmental ethic and is a firm believer in open space. His hobbies include skiing, snowboarding & he has a life long love of horses. He loves the mountians and our Western heritage.
