The Art Studio

The Art tudio of The Center for the Arts, located a 111 Elk Ave., offers summer art classes and private art lessons for kids 12-17. Those ages 12-14, sign up for two-day Middle School Art Sessions on Tuesdays all summer. Choose from Watercolor, Mixed Media, Cyanotype Photography, Henna Design, Oil Painting, Art Journals, Textile Design, and Dream Catchers. Ages 12 and up can join most of our adult classes or schedule private lessons. We are also open for Paint-Your-Own-Pottery, Wednesday - Saturday from 1-5pm, June 20 - August 25 for all ages. Camp CB

Your kids’ favorite ski instructors are sticking around the mountain for a whole new adventure! Camp CB offers quality childcare and memorable summertime experiences for ages 3-14. Campers can choose from lift rides, nature hikes, Adventure Park activities, sports an dmore. For ages 3 to 4, the Mini Camp program is designed for the younger age group to allow the counselors to structure the same activities around their interest and energy levels. In addition, mom and dad can enjoy a day on the mountain as the CBMR nursery is the perfect spot for ages two months - three years old. Open June 9 - September 9 from 9am - 5pm. CB Kids

CB Kids has the best selection in town for all your summer camp essentials. From convertible pants and rain coats to SPF shirts and shorts, we’ve got your camper covered rain or shine. Get them ready for a day of adventure with our swimsuits, water bottles, sunglasses, packs and snacks. Located at 326 Elk Avenue, we will be open daily starting May 8th.

The Club at Crested Butte

The Club at Crested Butte in Skyland offers both golf and tennis instruction to the Crested Butte Community for all ages and abilities throughout the Summer. Our PGA certified professional golf instructors will teach your beginner golfer a sport they will enjoy for a lifetime or help grow your advaced golfer's game through a variety of clinics and camps. The Club's Head Tennis Professional, with over 21 years of experience, offers tennis clinics for your child to enjoy exhilarating exercise while learning a new skill set. Private and semi-private instruction for both golf and tennis are available. Additional weekly themed camps and swim instruction are available for Club Members. Crested Butte Library

The Crested Butte Library presents its annual Summer Reading Program! This year’s theme is “Libraries Rock!” We will have our regular youth programming all summer long, incorporating the theme into all of our events. Messy Mondays are on Mondays at 3:30pm for ages five and up; Baby & Toddler Storytime on Wednesdays at 11am for ages birth-3; Big Kids Storytime on Fridays at 11am for ages 3-7; and Little Minds on Fridays at 1:30pm for ages 4-8. Don't forget to join us for First Friday Family Films starting at 7pm on the first Friday of everymonth, when we show a kid-friendly movie, upstairs on the big screen at Old Rock. We will have special events all summer long, so please follow us on Facebook (@Crested Butte Old Rock Library), or check our website for details. Kids may register for the Summer Reading Program any time after June 1 to start their reading and kindness logs. And, we encourage you join us on Monday, June 11 at 3:30pm for our rickin' tie-dye, summer reading program, kick-off party! You can stop by the Library anytime (we've got LOADS for kids to do: puzzles, building materials, art supplies, tablets, etc), and find out why "Libraries Rock!" A reminder, that children younger than age nine must be accompanied by an adult when at the Library.

CBMF Bluegrass Kids Camp

A fun, five-day music camp in Crested Butte that provides kids (ages 7-14) an amazing experience in bluegrass music education. Students learn to play in a bluegrass band with other students, write songs, and advance their individual skills through instrument break-out sessions. CBMF Opera Children's Chorus

The Crested Butte Music Festival features world-class artists, teachers, and music of all kinds in the pristine beauty of one of Colorado's premier mountain resorts. The Festival's Opera Children's Chorus (OCC) is a unique, three-week intensive performance program for talented young singers ages 8 to 18. Crested Butte Mountain Theatre

Crested Butte Mountain Theatre presents two Summer YouTheatre Programs.
Acting UP! for in-coming kindergarteners' through in-coming 3rd Grade on June 11, 13, and 15 from 9am to 12pm where they will learn beginning acting skills through vocal warm ups, memorization games, scene work, basic improvisational skills, and character studies all culminating in an in-house performance of short scenes. *Child must be 5 years old by September 30th to participate.
Acting OUT! for in-coming 4th Grade and older is August 6-17 from 8:30am until 4:30pm. In the morning, actors will learn to hone their craft through vocal coaching, acting lessons including improvisational skills, and musical theatre dance lessons and in the afternoon rehearse for Mary Poppins, Jr for performances at Center for the Arts on August 17 and 18. We also offer technical/backstage afternoons, or combine the morning acting workshops with afternoon tech for Mary Poppins Jr.

Crested Butte School of Dance

DANCE IN THE MOUNTAINS Summer 2018! Seven weeks of pure dance June 11 - July 27. Classes for all levels, ages 3 - adult! Dance Camp for 3-5 year olds & Aerial/Ground Dancing Fusion Camp for 6-8 & 9-11 year olds! Weekly classes for ages 9 to adult taught by incredible, professional tachers offer a variety of rad styles! Good Life Girls Summer Program

We are very excited to announce the start of Good Life Girls summer program in Crested Butte. We are a girls only summer camp for ages 8-14. Good Life Girls will be meeting every Saturday in Crested Butte with activitie that could include overnight camping, climbing, stand up paddle boarding, rafting, biking, yoga, art, and science. Little Red Schoolhouse

Little Red Schoolhouse in CB South is a great place for your child to spend their summer and beyond! We accept children as young as three months at Teeny Red, and kids as old as eight for our Big Kid Camp. Preschoolers will get to enjoy outside adventures on a daily basis with everything from hiking, biking, Blue Mesa, rock climbing and more! Summers combine a learning element with lots of exploration to provide a well-rounded program for your little one. Big kid camp is happening Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9-5 p.m. and is for children entering first and second grades. This camp consists of a science or art project in the mornings, with literacy as well, and an outside adventure which changes daily for the afternoons. It’s a fun and worthwhile experience! Mountain Adventures

Experience the mountains, rivers, lakes, crags, trails, and scenery by river raft, foot, on a mountain bike, in a canoe, with a fly-rod in hand, or high on a cliff, zipline or chairlift! For its sixth summer, Mountain Adventures for children ages 7 to 14 will be based out of Crested Butte Mountain Resort with access to the CBMR Adventure Park, chairlifts and on-resort activities. Mountain Roots

Hands-on, minds-on outdoor environmental education programs for kids of all ages. Planting, tending, and harvesting our organic gardens is just the beginning. We explore fields, meadows, trails, rivers, lakes, wetlands, forests, farms, and even kitchens throughout the valley. We weave in nature-based art, cooperative games, cooking, and other fun experiences in the natural world. Make lasting memories and build connections between earth, food, and community. Dig, Plant, Grow (half-day for K-2); Summer Field Studies (full day for grades 2-6); Farm-to-Market Specialty Camp (week-long camp for harvesting, cooking, and a kids farm stand for grades 4-7); Teen Farm Overnights (out-of-valley trips offered in June and July, age 10+). RMBL Youth Nature & Science Camps

Experience field science taking place in the Gothic area while learning from the researches working at Rocky Mountain Biological Laboratory. Topics change every day of the summer! Through scientific inquiry, outdoor exploration, arts and games, youth engage with the spectacular mountain ecosysstems of Colorado. Offerings include: Introduction to Field Biology for students entering grades 10-12, July 30 - August 10; Project Eco-STEM for students entering grades 6-8, June 27 - 30; Science Camp any T, W, or Th for students entering grades 3-5, June 12 - August 9; and Nature Camp any M,T,W,Th or F, June 11 - August 10. West Elk Soccer Association Summer Soccer Program

WESA’s summer soccer program will run June 13 - August 2, Tuesdays and Thursdays at Rainbow Park. U8/U10 age groups sessions will be 3:30-4:45 p.m. and cost is $160. U12/U14 age groups sessions will be 5-6:30 p.m., cost is $200. Goal Keeper Sessions are Thursdays 5:15-6:15 p.m, cost is $80. The U19 Boys Team Camp will run August 6-10, cost is $200.
