Your kids’ favorite ski instructors are sticking around the mountain for a whole new adventure! Camp CB offers quality childcare and memorable summertime experiences for ages three-14. The nursery is the perfect spot for ages two months – three years while mom and dad enjoy a day on the mountain. Campers can choose from lift rides, nature hikes, Adventure Park, sports and more. For ages three and four, the Mini Camp program is designed for the younger age group to allow the counselors to structure the same activities around their interest and energy level. Character Camp nurtures the development of healthy character traits in children (K graduates-fi fth). Through games, dramas, crafts, stories, teamwork and more we explore a new character trait each day. There’ll be no June camp this summer, but we’ll be back in action with a camp being held the fi nal week of CBCS Summer Break - August 21-25. Early registration is $30/day ($40/day thereafter). Crested Butte Library
The Crested Butte Library presents its annual Summer Reading Program! This year’s theme is “Build A Better World!” We will continue with all of our regular youth programming, incorporating the theme into everything we do! Mondays at 3:30 p.m.- “Messy Monday” for ages fi ve and up, Tuesdays at 3:30 p.m.: Tween Scene (STEAM activities) for ages nine-12, Wednesdays at 11 a.m.: Baby/Toddler time, Fridays at 11 a.m.: Story Time, and First Friday Family Film every month! Each month we’ll also have a “Special Event,” so please follow us on Facebook (Crested Butte Old Rock Library) or check our website (gunnisoncountylibraries.org) for details. Kids may also register any time after June 9 for their reading and “Bee Kind” logs. Stop by anytime (we’ve got LOADS for kids to do: puzzles, building materials, art supplies, tablets, etc.), and help us build a better world, together! Children younger than age nine must be accompanied by an adult.
Crested Butte Mountain Theatre
This camp is open to children grades K-5 and will expose them to all aspects of a theatrical production such as set design, stage tech (lighting and sound), costume design, makeup (both character and stage), and acting (warm up skills and concepts like character development). There is also a mentors program for grades 6-12. These mentors will gain the same experience as grades K-5 with an emphasis on taking a leadership role. Mentors will be in charge of helping kids with costume design, lighting and set building. Finally, mentors will direct grades K-5 in a theatrical production.

CBMF Bluegrass Kids Camp
A fun, fi ve-day music camp in Crested Butte that provides kids (ages seven-14) an amazing experience in bluegrass music education. Students learn to play in a bluegrass band with other students, write songs, and advance their individual skills through instrument break-out sessions. The day camp off ers training for fi rst-timers as well as intermediate players, provided by faculty from the esteemed Swallow Hill Music School in Denver. CBMF Opera Children’s Chorus
The Crested Butte Music Festival features world-class artists, teachers, and music of all kinds in the pristine beauty of one of Colorado’s premier mountain resorts. Little Red Schoolhouse
Little Red Schoolhouse in CB South is a great place for your child to spend their summer and beyond! We accept children as young as three months at Teeny Red, and kids as old as eight for our Big Kid Camp. Preschoolers will get to enjoy outside adventures on a daily basis with everything from hiking, biking, Blue Mesa, rock climbing and more! Summers combine a learning element with lots of exploration to provide a well-rounded program for your little one. Big kid camp is happening Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9-5 p.m. and is for children entering fi rst and second grades. This camp consists of a science or art project in the mornings, with literacy as well, and an outside adventure which changes daily for the afternoons. It’s a fun and worthwhile experience! Maker Fun Factory Adventure Camp
Come join us for “Maker Fun Factory Adventure Camp” It is for ages four to 11. Experience our mountains, rivers, lakes, crags, trails, and scenery from river raft, by foot, on a mountain bike, in a canoe, with a fl y-rod in hand, or high on a cliff , zipline or chairlift! For its fi fth summer, Mountain Adventures for children ages seven to 14 will be based out of Crested Butte Mountain Resort. The program will continue as it has for the last 20 years; however there will now be added benefi ts of having access to the CBMR Adventure Park, chairlifts, and on-resort activities. RMBL Youth Nature & Science Camps
RMBL youth nature & science camps provide youth with an opportunity to experience field science taking place in the Gothic area while learning from the researchers working at Rocky Mountain Biological Laboratory. Through scientific inquiry, outdoor exploration, arts and games, children engage with the spectacular mountain ecosystems of Colorado. For youth entering grades sixth to eighth we offer Project Eco-STEM on Fridays. For youth entering grades third through fifth, we offer Science Camp any T, W, or TH. For youth entering grades K through second we offer Nature Camp any M, T, W, Th or F. For families with children in preschool and younger, we offer Seedling Scientists on select Mondays. Stepping Stones Children’s Center
Stepping Stones Children’s Center offers an outdoorbased summer program for children ages three months to seven years old. Our summer program runs from June 15 through August 18. Hours are 8 a.m. - 5:30 p.m., Monday-Friday. Our programs are for: The Bumblebees three to 12 months, Hummingbirds two to 24 months, the Bluebirds 24 - 36 months, Park Play ages three to four, Day Camp ages four to five, and Adventure Club ages five to seven. Synergy Athlete will be hosting an afternoon CrossFit Kids camp Tuesday and Thursdays June 27- July 27 from noon to 3:30 p.m. Kids will be met at CBCS and escorted to Synergy. Program is designed to pair all aspects of fi tness with fun, while teaching children how to perform foundational movements safely. No class on July 4 or July 27. $30 per day. The Art Studio
The Art Studio of The Center for the Arts, located at 111 Elk Ave., offers summer art classes and private art lessons for kids 12 - 17. West Elk Soccer Association Summer Soccer Program
WESA’s summer soccer program will run June 15 - August 3, Tuesdays and Thursdays at Rainbow Park. U8/U10 age groups sessions will be 3:45-5 p.m. and cost is $150. U12/U14 age groups sessions will be 5:15-6:45 p.m., cost is $200. Goal Keeper Sessions are Thursdays 5:30-6:30 p.m, cost is $80. Registration opens May 1. Challenger Soccer Camps also available.
